I didn't think him or Sakho played particularly well...but scored

Superb header!

Good to see our full backs grab a couple assists too!

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
Agree Gavros. Sakho is on a good run but Valencia is the class act. I don't think he will be a 15 -20 goal season player but he will score goals out of nothing and I bet important ones aswell.

He is also young so can get better. Work rate is also insane, shows up Maiga for the pussy he was.

Getting better by the game. Certainly appears my first view about him was wrong.

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
Sakhos a proper goal scorer, but Valencia had the skill and pace to be a generally outstanding forward. With Carroll coming back we have fantastic and diverse attacking options.

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
Bit quiet on here today?

Proper shit header that, yesterday. The way it was behind the line of his body and all that yet he still managed to turn himself back and get such power on it.

Lucky.

Bloke is all over the place great little player though. HIm and Sakho create room for each other.

Great cross and a great header today, went in like a bullet!

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up a better player for us than sakho. He's got it all

So Tex - and this is only the gentlest of diggings out - you presumably now accept that he's not too short to be a PL striker?

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
I like him. Gets outrageous power on shots and headers. I expect a few more like hull before the end of the season!

Not a good first half...but what a bullet header goal....

He'll get better every game.....

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
Absolutely brilliant header today, such power and pace considering it was slightly behind him. No chance for the keeper!

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
Today's goal should do him the world of good. I think he'll get better and better. His touch isn't the best, and his decision making needs working on, but he's lightening quick, a threat from anywhere, can definitely finish, and has adapted remarkably quickly. With Carroll to come back we suddenly look full of goals.

Re: Toby Fry: the massive fist (enner valencia thread)
The more I see him play, the more of a bargain I think we've got in him

SouthAmerican players normally take a little time to settle in but his skill is there for all to see

He hasn't started scoring many goals for us yet but it's just a matter of time

I can't remember the last time we signed a top International striker in his prime

1941 ~ He's far better than any players in your team since Gareth Bale left
